Vara Permall

Graduate in statistics and economics from the University of Mauritius, Vara has started her professional career in 2013 as analyst at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of Mauritius. She assisted ministers and senior advisers in policy making process aiming at fighting youth and female unemployment in Mauritius.


Vara has joined Utopies in September 2015. Based in Mauritius, she is involved in international footprint projects and in development of modeling tools.

What nobody knows about you Vara Permall

Vara is in fact a diminutive of Varaluxmee, which means “goddess of boons and gifts” in Tamil.
