« What is a weed, if not a plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered? »
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Elsa graduated from AgroParisTech in 2011 and from Sciences Po Paris in 2012. She joined Utopies as a senior consultant in 2017 to develop sustainable city related missions. Her five years with Franck Boutté Consultants, an environmental design and engineering agency in the architecture and urban planning sectors, have enabled her to manage a variety of sustainable development projects, ranging from metropolitan strategy to neighbourhood and public space projects. In this context, and also thanks to her experience in a political cabinet in the city of Paris, Elsa has been interested in issues related to local authorities and the metropolisation process. She is also accredited by CIBI to accompany the Biodivercity® label and by Certivea to supervise the HQE Aménagement® certification. In parallel to her studies as an agricultural engineer, Elsa completed a Master's degree in Philosophy of Science at the University of Paris 7 to deepen her knowledge in the history and epistemology of life sciences.
Elsa is a specialist in sustainable development issues applied to the urban planning and construction sectors. It thus intervenes on the integration of sustainable development into the strategies of public and private stakeholders in the development and construction sectors. Its fields of predilection combine environmental engineering, urban or architectural project and territorial strategy: issues related to ecology, agriculture and urban biodiversity; bioclimatic design, energy efficiency and renewable energy supply; adaptation of territories to climate change or the circular economy and the links between urban metabolism (economic sectors...) and land use planning.
