« DOGS HAVE ONLY ONE FAULT: THEY BELIEVE IN MEN »
Elian J. Finbert
Akun arrived at Utopies in the fall of 2013 (he was given by Elisabeth to her daughter Eve for her 8th birthday). He's a Cavalier King Charles, who belongs to a family of English hunting dogs, the Spaniels. Affectionate, very playful and devoted to the staff (who repays him well in return !) he knows like no other how to amuse the team during periods of stress !
Despite his young age, Akun is already an expert in renewable energy and preventive medicine. This “royal” race, which was first introduced during the reign of Charles II, was at the time prescribed by doctors as a “dog of consolation.” In fact, capable of remaining in a crouched position at length, he warmed the Ladies during coach travel or in cold rooms in castles. A gift that also benefits the staff at Utopies!
What nobody knows about youAkun
Civility and decorum would require him to have a name with “I”, but resolutely iconoclast, he draws his name from a semi-desert island in Alaska where Elisabeth went on an improbable trip in the footsteps of the responsible surimi, during the weeks that preceded his adoption. Most of the people who encounter him think that his name comes from Hakuna Matata the joyous song from the movie “The Lion King,” which means “no worries” - and that’s okay, too!
